Life....

Life as we know it ….BUSY, of course. There seems to be so much to do and not enough time. Hunter is back and had basketball camp this week. We spent last weekend at Grannies, fishing and camping out. Well, I didn’t camp but Hunter and her friend did. LOTS of fishing and a fish fry on Saturday night. We headed home on Sunday, Fathers Day. Monday and Tuesday Todd worked diligently on the railing on the deck and it is done. The steps are left and some waterproofing. I LOVE IT!!!! It is like having an extra room to the house. Tuck loves being out there sliding. I even set up some water in the pool that he loves to splash in. The dogs are not allowed up there-thank goodness! (NO pee all over the place.)

Tuck enjoys the trampoline as well. He asks to go every time, “ba” he says with his hand held up pointing that direction. (ba means bounce) I think it is great for him because he is bending his knees trying to bounce and standing up trying to walk, which causes him to bend because of the loose ground underneath him. A therapy tool that is fun! BONUS.

Hunter has a friend, Taylor, coming to spend a few days with us. She is a really good kid! We have known Taylor for many years. Hunter went to elementary school with her. I am sure they will swim and have a great time. We were talking about going and doing something Saturday night, just us girls. Mom has agreed to watch Tuck as Todd will be working.

Tucker has been eating like a pig the past week or so…which is good. He has been eating Hotdogs, ½ of one, and pudding. I bought some “try-out” foods last grocery trip, like Chef Boyardee spaghetti and ravioli. Thought I would try them as lunch foods for him, see if we cant broaden his palette. I also introduced a new sippy cup. The disposable ones. They are not spill proof which will let liquid fall out. Tucker bites on the others, causing a whole in the “nipple”. I think he just likes to bite the rubber. This one is hard at the mouth piece so he cannot bite it. I am hoping he can use it better and get some serious liquid by mouth…we will see. This is like #4 sippy we are trying.

He is walking more and more. He is slowing down as not to rush and fall. It is so great to see him put his arms out to the sides to balance then move on. YESSSS!!!

Sounds like you guys had a great week last week. Just thought I might share with you that when Kaden was eating by mouth he really liked Campbell's Chicken and Stars soup. He also enjoyed ramen (and spaghetti, but sounds like you are trying that one). With the soups, I would just drain the "juice" out of it b/c the OT said that it was too much for him to figure out solids and liquids in his mouth at once.

Well, I am thinking about you guys all of the time. I hope you guys enjoy your week.
