OK, so I got home yesterday and Tuck was tired so we started to rock. As we were rocking I noticed his thumb was really purple, upon more examine it was also twice the size of the other one. So off we go to Northland Mercy hoping not to hit a huge line. We did xrays and got some puss out of it but still not sure what happened or what it is. The sent the puss off for culture. Meanwhile we are on antibiotics for possible MRSA. Tuck was not happy with me at all, they did two pokes with a huge needle to get stuff out of it. We have to follow up with our regular doctor, or if she wants us to go to the Hand doctor we will have to go and see them. She said something about IF we cannot get it to drain by the nail then possibly something will have to be done in the fatty part where the thumb print is. OUCH.
Oh and the "quick trip to Mercy" got us home at 10:15 last night. YUP, we hit their door at 5:30pm. So much for quick...should have known but very glad we went.

Ouch!!! That looks painful. I hope that whatever it is, there is a quick fix.
