Last years Team.......yup, we know who's missing. COME ON AND JOIN US. (Aunt Amy will be here this year coming from Tuscon, so come on LOCAL family/friends and register to come with us.)
OK, I have finally logged on and started our Team for the buddy walk this year. Just click on the link on the right side of the page "First Downs For Downs Syndrome" and register. We have to register before August 17th to get the name on the back of the T-shirt. The team is "Tucker's Troup" again, it is very easy to log on and register. It took me a whole 2 minutes.
I know this doesnt give us much time, those who dont get registered before then can still attend and participate-your t shirt wont say Tuckers Troup but we still want everyone to attend and show support. PLEASE.
Just so that you know what the money goes to. The Kansas City Downs Syndrome Guild gets the money and helps KC families who have children or have children on the way with Downs. They are sending me to the Convention this year, $300.00 price tag, through a scholarship from monies raised at the walk last year. This is just one of the many ways they use the money raised. The Guild has been a great asset to me and my family, great resource for finding help and answers. Thank you in advance.
