Day one....

Out of the Box reading program. Today our words are.....

This program uses flash cards and is based on the whole-word approach. The belief is that children are visual learners, and therefore can typically learn to read easier using the whole-word language approach. Studies have shown that children with DS are visual learners, and therefore can read words as pictures. In turn they can picture the word in their mind, see it and therefore spell it. ( Yes I am excited and pumped!!!)

I have a presentation schedule that will eventually go into actions, colors, and phrases. OHHH just think, if this works and helps Tucker....he is already my smart boy but I will be so elated to hear him read.!!!!
