Yesterday was our Step up for DS walk. Our team was smaller this year but still had great turn out. This year we tried something a little different....we grilled ourselves. Now that we know exactly where we can and cannot do that, next year should be even better. I think that is the way to go....take a grill and do a full blown tailgate party!
It was amazing how many people, tents, signs of loved ones with DS were there. Each year it gets bigger and bigger. I think they said they had 7000 people signed up to walk. That is almost double our first years numbers. We started walking the year Tucker was due, 2005. It was such a great day.....nice weather, nice people and family that support Tucker and DS 100%. Thank you to everyone who came out ....!

Karen it was so good to finally meet you face to face, I just wish I'd of had more time to sit down with you! I'm sorry I never made it back over, I tried, but you know how chaotic things can be. Half way through the walk, Kinsley fell asleep so we went home after crossing the finish line. I never seem to have enough time to do things with the girls like I want to. Every year gets a little better, but I think I have an even better plan for next year. But again so good to meet you and maybe someday we can get Kins and Tucker together, she LOVES boys, especially little cuties like him :)

I wish we had walks near us. That is the downside to a small town. My sister who has down syndrome does many events though and we are always right there beside her.
