41 days in Boston....

Today we are actually looking at extibation on Monday or Tuesday....ready or not. The consensus is that we have to try....so today I ask for prayers all through the weekend and early next week that Tucker can tolerate being off the vent, that he can expand his lungs enough to keep fluid from gathering, that the sedation will be such that he can breathe full breathes, that his heart will not be overworked with the extra load, and that the doctors take great care in the decisions made during extibation day.

This journey has been very hard...to say the least. I dream of the days that all I have to worry about is cleaning my toilets once again. Going to work, I will not complain again....all these things are so missed. Life in a hospital is no fun....not an ounce of fun! I am ready for the next chapter in our book....
(Picture--Hunter got to get up in bed with Tucker today....he snuggled right in. the date on the picture is off...darn camera)

Such a sweet photo! I cannot enlarge it though, was it small to begin with?

I am so glad there is a good plan for progress. I hope the weekend is nice and quiet.

YAY!!!!! We are hoping for the BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!!!! We are all big Jayhawks fans....so we are going to wear our LUCKY Jayhawk attire (socks included) tomorrow and hopefully send some luck that way!!! We are also going to ask all our friends to wear socks (or another attire if they dont have socks) that are of their favorite team or thing to send some more luck that way!!!! Love the picture....and love that you could cuddle with him!!!!
