I am amazed each day at little things Tuck does now....like this pose. He has learned to put his hands behind his back, while standing, and interlocks his fingers. He has also learned that he has pockets back there and if there are no pockets his hands can easily go down the pants. To watch him do these things...very simple things, I just watch him in AWE, pure and simple. I am so very grateful.

Hi! I just found your blog. Tucker is such a cutie pie. Without diving into your archives, I surmise that Tucker had a g-button? Is that right?
I am a nurse, and if his site where they removed it is still sore and irritated, you might try putting a thin layer of Maalox or Mylanta liquid on the irritated area, letting it dry, and then putting the dressing over it. It helps protect the skin while it is healing, and also makes it feel better.
We used to do this for the residents with g-tubes at the nursing homes (when their sites became irritated). Just an old nursing trick.
