ShooWEEEE.....

What a week. TGTIF..Thank goodness tomorrow is FRIDAY! Todd has been out of town all week. I mean ALL WEEK. He left on Sunday and I am tired. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a sitter for Tucker all week, every week. But with our schedules Tucker is home two days a week with Todd. SO I had to arrange a sitter....SHOUT OUT TO LISA< THANK YOU.....took the kids to school, then went to work, then had to get Tucker from school and then take him to her then return back to work. Lots of driving not to mention it gets dark so quickly now. It seemed I got home in time to go to bed.
On a positive note I did get some actual scrap booking done...scrap booking in a book with double sided tape and creativity. I didn't accomplish a lot but I did get the buddy walk done from this year, our pumpkin patch trip and some of our Cozumel trip from 2 years ago. I am so far behind. I would love to get it all organized, as right now I am hunting for pictures for different events and it is just a mess. I have moved my stuff from room to room thinking I will work on it but haven't until this week. Now I have the basement, once again, a complete and total disaster. I tell myself that it is all in the name of getting organized but to see it you wouldn't think so. UGH. I wish I had a magic wand that I could just wave at each room and it be organized, straight and clean. Oh and I would have a person to fan me and rub my feet. :) thought I would throw that in while I was DREAMING.
Tucker had parent teacher meeting on Tuesday. He is doing great! They absolutely love him. The therapist is working on PECS, picture education (something that starts with a C) system. It is a picture system on a board that is Velcro. Tucker picks what he wants in way to communicate to her. He also has to vocalize while he does it. She said he is doing great with the system and I will soon have one to work into our routine here at home. Tucker is working so hard to talk already that is surprised me they were trying something like this. He does communicate pretty good. We understand what he wants. Soon they will incorporate picture boxes with words...like I WANT then he has to make a sentence. I WANT CEREAL.by picking the picture of the cereal or ball or whatever the case may be. We will see how it goes.
OK, so I am really tired and not sure any of what I just tried to explain makes sense. I am waiting up for Hunter, she went to the movies with a friend. So I guess I will go up and read a few chapters in my book while I wait.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. We have, well I have, one of basement cleaning and picture organizing along with orthodontist for Hunter and flu shots. Other than that a lot of staying home. We (Todd, Sheena and I) are to go to Vegas on Thursday night for the weekend. She turns 21 on Tuesday so we are going to go and PARTY!!! Todd lived in Vegas for about 3 years so we will see all his old buddies and now their wives and kids while we are there.

I don't know if this is the same thing...but when Kaden first started ealry childhood, they made a velcro book for him that had pictures velcroed inside. They had a page for foods, activities, etc. On the front of the book there was a velcro strap and Kaden would go through and pull out what he wanted...such as "I want mashed potatoes." It seemed to work alright for him, however, it was very limited. I know every case is different. But if it already seems to be helping that is great!!! I am excited to hear how it continues to go.

I can't believe you got the buddy walk pages done from THIS year! I'm still backed up to ... well you don't want to know. Chelsea's first bday is waiting to be done, AND I only have my sons book through 1 year old (he's five now!) I wish there was a way to organize a scrapbook swap or something. You know, everyone make 20 pages of the same "theme" then we swap, you know. I'll keep thinking on that!
