Post 600

I am going to leave on a fun note tonight....try to turn this not so great week into something positive.... Did you see who McCann picked as a running mate? YUP, she has 5 kids and her latest was born with Down Syndrome. What an opportunity for the disability community-to have someone in office,at the white house even, that has been there and knows the trials people with disabilities have...inclusion, health care, all the BOGUS things that should be helping us that aren't. I know I am asking a lot but I am very happy and will be anxious to see how she responds and what she has to say in the upcoming months. I can only Pray that this is a very good thing for MY TUCKER BOY.

Tonight Tuck and I were on our own. Todd is working and Hunter ended up going to the 1st school dance. I told her she could go, get her mind off the HORRIBLE injustice that was done to her today by not making the team....she hopped right up and got dressed. It is tough being rejected, not being picked, feeling like you are dealt the wrong cards. I think we have all been there at some time in our lives. If anything, I think maybe she is learning a lesson. She has always succeeded at things, not that she isn't now, but to not get what she wanted for once (besides from us) may just teach her a lesson. Who knows. I do know that she commented on one of the girls that she just loves. She said, " Mom, Sara is so humble. I think that is the word." I said what do you mean. She said" she made the team but didn't start jumping up and down, she looked and saw it, then turned away and headed out of the room. She knew that others would be hurt because they didn't make the team." How awesome is that....that she had enough compassion for her friends to save her celebration for later. Unlike everyone else who were high-five-ng and celebrating their success. Not that they shouldn't be proud, they should, I just thought it took more for Sara NOT to celebrate...and so did Hunter.

I am leaving you with some photos I took outside tonight with Tucker. I tried a few new features on my camera...which ones they were I couldn't tell you.
