Long weekend turns into long week ahead....

In the words of Reba McIntire…CRRRRRAP!! We are in hospital, enlisted and registered, here for now, not going home! Tucker got worse last night, watery stools and I just couldn’t keep up with the tube liquids. I took him to ER again and they took an x-ray of his belly. The x-ray was to ensure that he had not torn his fundo with all the retching he was doing. With the x-ray we found that his gut was not working. It was not processing anything. SOOOO, nothing in the gut for two days to let it rest, which means i.v fluids and nutrition. So after getting to the ER at 330am, we got the i.v. and a room at 820. Tucker was super doper ticked off at me, I let them stick him 6 times, YUP SIX…but we had to get the i.v and being a little dehydrated makes it even harder to get a vein.
Todd is at the hospital now and I am at work. I will do some of the necessities and then get back to the hospital. Todd just called and they are checking his digoxin levels(that is his heart medicine)-they think it may need adjusted, might be a reason for part of his irritability.
Please keep Tuck in your prayers. We are in a great hospital. My biggest concern is he absolutely HATES them messing with him. We cannot even take a temp without a fit, so pray for him to be accepting and for Todd and I to have strength.

Darn it!! I was hoping you would be able to stay out of the hospital.

I hope he gets better soon. We are thinking of you, and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
