Sunday (Entry #27)

Sunday is usually spent cleaning and cooking! I love cooking….and today I am going to try a new recipe from Semi-Homemade on Food Network. It goes as follows:
1 can cherry pie filling
2 cans of diced pears (in juice)
1 cap of Almond extract
Spray crock pot with butter spray, dump above ingredients and stir. Then put one box of yellow cake mix on top of the mixture-just the powder from the box. Then cut up 1 stick of butter and put on top of cake mix. On top of that you put 1 packet of Maple/Brown sugar instant oatmeal. Then top with sliced bits of Almond. Cook on low, in crock pot, for 4-6 hours. Oh yeah, before putting the lid on the crock pot, put paper towels under the lid so as to catch the steam and condensation. ENJOY!

I made this recipe awhile back. It's very good! I didn't think the pears would be good, but it's excellent, almost like a fruit crisp. Good Luck!
