Cardiology appointment update...

Great report from Cardiology today. Chest xray looks better than it did last week when we left Boston. Potassium is coming up but not quite where they want it, so have to continue using that….but, drum roll, we get to come down on some of the lasix. So instead of 1.5 pills twice a day we get to go to 1 pill twice a day!!! YEAH!!!

Insurance is going to pay for the simply thick packets we have to have for his fluid, which we were not sure they would be doing. (140.00 for 80 packets on the internet and we use approx. 18 a day…OUCH)

Dr K was very impressed with Tucker and his Pinkness….said he looked great! Was very happy with the pictures of the echo we had before we left Boston. We did discuss the mitral valve and the fact that it is smallish on the left side. He had said he will be anxious to see how it does over the next few years, see if it becomes a problem or continues to be OK as Tuck gets bigger. No oxygen at night as long as we stay 90 and above. NO restrictions on OT/PT or physical activities.

ALL AROUND GREAT APPOINTMENT….GREAT DAY!!! And we havent even had CAKE yet.
